Another freebie craft....if you have everything, which I did. I dug out an old bright blue frame I had and spray painted it black.
Then I got some art paper and wrapped it around the cardboard backing of the frame.

I spray painted the paper gold.

I printed my assortment of letters on regular paper. I designed it with the font I wanted on photoshop first, but you could easily just do it with word or whatever program you have.

I charcoaled the back of the paper with the letter on it...

and put it down on my gold background and used a pencil to outline the letter.

I used a small paint brush to outline the letters, but you probably could just use a sharpie too.

Then I filled them in...

And there you have it...Your own custom framed Christmas art!

Next year I think I'm going to hang it on the red walls...doesn't work very well on the beige wall.

Great idea! Especially for people like me who don't have a vinyl cutting machine. Best part is using stuff you already have on hand and getting such a nice piece to use for your seasonal decorating!
This is brilliant! I absolutely love this and can't wait to make one! I especially love how you placed the words with the pic of the tree!
Kathy...I thought I was the only one in blogland without a vinyl cutting machine!
Amy...send me a picture or link when you've made one so I can see it!!

I'm a little late to the party, but what font is that? That song is my baby's favorite Christmas song so it would have great meaning during the holidays for my family
Hi Anonymous..
It's either pupcat or teen...I forget which one and I'm not at the computer that has that font. Email me and I will remember to check it tonight. ilovedaisies56@hotmail.com
this great idea gave me a great idea. Just get a picture, like a snowy tree but make it look like youre looking at it through a window. Very easy, to make it look like a window just make some dark lines or use black tape. the hardest part would be to get a picture, but you could just google one, save it on a usb and print one out at cvs for like 33 cents. Also, you could do all for seasons. I think that would look really cool, and are great ideas for gifts! Just found this blog and i thinks its awesome. Thanks.
I actually love the beige background; very cool. Yep, I'll be making these too, only as gifts. Thanks for the great inspiration!
